The Bomb Suit Challenges
Former Royal Marine Damian Atkinson is, by his own admission, completely insane which is why, having completed The Forces March in 2011, will be taking part again this year. However, this year Damian, from Peterborough, has decided to make the already very demanding challenge a bit more difficult by trying to complete the 132 mile route in a 26kg EOD Bomb Disposal Suit! Damian has already completed a marathon and a half marathon in the suit. He is fundraising at www.justgiving.com/bombsuitchallenges

UK Service personnel discounts
As part of our efforts to provide as much support as possible to our service personnel, we have reduced entry fees for anyone currently serving to £99 per person - a discount of £50! As we fully appreciate that fundraising can be difficult for serving military we have also reduced the fundraising target for military personnel to £650. More than 210 military units have been invited to field teams for this year's event and we hope to hear from lots of you and to see you on the start line in Ilfracombe on 23rd May!

Brave Mum to honour her hero son on FM2012
GDSM Jamie Janes was tragically killed whilst serving in Afghanistan in 2009. His devastated mother Jacqui has had to face what no parent should. Courageous Jacqui, who has never attempted an endurance event like the march before, has joined up with two friends and will be taking part in The Forces March 2012 in Jamie's honour. We are extremely proud to have 'TEAM JAMIE' with us! She is fundraising at www.justgiving.com/teamjamie
